For singing-rue’s Tumblr Hunger Games, challenger 2.
Reason: Because Catching Fire is my absolute favorite book and it is the book that got me hooked on The Hunger Games. The pages shown are my 8 favorite scenes.
1 → “A smile creeps on to my lips. “Green. What’s yours?” “Orange” he says.
2 → “I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now, and live in it for ever,” he says.
3 → “It’s like you wouldn’t look at me naked in the arena even though I was half dead. You’re so… pure,” he says finally.
4 → “Why don’t you get some sleep?” he says. Because I can’t handle the nightmares. Not without you.
5 → … Where I know I will hear the strong and steady beat of his heart. Instead, I find silence.
6 → I realize only one person will be damaged beyond repair if Peeta dies. Me.
7 → Peeta holds me in his lap, speaking soothing words, rocking me gently… “It’s all right, Katniss,” he whispers.
